From the 21st of June to the 4th of October 2026, Manifesta 16 Ruhr unfolds across the Ruhr region in Germany, just beyond the Dutch border. This edition brings together contemporary art, architecture and civic imagination in a constellation of twelve deconsecrated churches—sites reactivated as spaces for gathering, reflection and collective experience.

In collaboration with NS International, Manifesta 16 Ruhr invites you to take part in a special competition offering a free trainticket to experience this special programme!

All locations are free to visit. You can explore the different churches at your own pace and discover how these special buildings have been given a new life through art and public programmes.

Winactie: Bezoek Manifesta 16 Ruhr met NS International

Van 21 juni 2026 tot en met de 4 october 2026 strijkt Manifesta 16 Ruhr neer in het Ruhrgebied, net over de Duitse grens.

Deze editie brengt hedendaagse kunst, architectuur en maatschappelijke verbeelding samen in een netwerk van twaalf leegstaande kerken—plekken die opnieuw worden geactiveerd als ruimtes voor ontmoeting, reflectie en collectieve ervaring.

In samenwerking met NS International nodigt Manifesta 16 Ruhr jou uit om deel te nemen aan een winactie, die de kans biedt om gratis naar het Ruhrgebied te reizen en dit bijzondere evenement bij te wonen.
